1.We're not always | Wag both forefingers like windscreen-wipers twice to right |
nice to the |
and twice to left |
people who love us. |
both hands on heart, pat in time to music |
Sometimes we're horrid and |
Punch right hand forward twice, then left hand forward twice |
sometimes we shout. |
Open hands, vertical on either side of mouth, move with beat |
We don't always |
Wag both forefingers like windscreen-wipers twice to right |
help and we |
and twice to left |
can be quite |
Open right hand with palm facing outwards, push twice (as if pushing people away) |
selfish. |
Do the same with the left hand, keeping the right hand in place |
It's sin, it's a problem, |
Cross arms at the wrist in front of your face, right over left, then re-cross left over right in time with beat |
it needs sorting out. |
Open arms out dramatically |
| |
We need forgiveness, |
Left arm stretched down your side, 'wash' it, with two down strokes from the palm our right hand, in time with the music |
forgiveness, |
now wash your right arm, as for the left |
forgiveness |
now wash your body, with both palms (fingers straight out), in time with the beat |
from Jesus. |
point to the sky |
That's what his |
Right hand, start at your chest, and move forward, out and right until your arm is out to the right, like one half of the cross |
death on the |
holding the right arm up, do the same with the left |
cross has achieved. |
and emphasise the 'cross' position you're now in |
Forgiveness, forgiveness, |
Wash again... |
forgiveness from Jesus. |
Wash again... |
Now it's a |
Right hand out to front then side... |
promise to |
Left hand out to front then side.. |
all who believe! |
Both hands out to encompass everyone |
| |
2.We say and |
Hands either side of mouth |
we do things |
Hands in front of chest rotating / rolling round each other |
that we wish we hadn't. |
Windscreen-wiper fingers |
Temptation hits us |
Beckon with one finger |
and what do we choose? |
Hands out with palms facing upwards in questioning motion |
The wrong things again and again, |
Windscreen wiper hands |
what a problem. |
keep going |
It's sin, and it's deadly |
Cross arms in front of face one way, then other |
but here's the Good News: |
Open arms out dramatically |
| |
There is forgiveness...
| |
3. So how do we |
One arm out, palm upwards |
get this |
Other arm out |
forgiveness from Jesus? |
Both arms out into cross shape |
Nothing to earn, |
Both hands out directly in front, palms down, fingers wiggling |
it's a gift and it's free. |
gradually move arms out to sides, palms still down and fingers wiggling |
Just put your life |
Walk on spot |
in the hands of Lord Jesus. |
Both hands out to front and slightly down, palms up |
Turn to Him, trust in Him, |
Jump quarter-turn to right (clockwise), and again |
and you'll receive... |
and again, and again til you're facing forward again. |
| |
His gift: forgiveness...
| |
(Bridge) | |
Acts Ten verse Forty Three: |
Hold up 10 fingers, then four, then three |
'all the prophets testify |
Point backwards, then put hands either side of mouth (as if shouting) |
that ev'ryone |
gradually spread arms out ... |
who trusts in Him receives:' |
... towards everyone |
| |
Forgiveness... | |
