Fifty-Three verse Six, | Right hand, point out out the syllables in the sky, from right to left |
A verse we need to hear, |
'verse': make a bible with two hands palms up in front of chest, 'hear': put hands behind ears, palms facing forwards |
Fifty-Three verse Six, |
Left hand, point out syllables again |
Isaiah makes it clear: |
'Isaiah': feel an imaginary beard, 'clear': left hand, thumb and first finger open in shape of C, smoothly mark out a strip in the air, as if that's writing that's clear. |
We all, like sheep, have gone astray. |
Hands on top of head like sheep ears, fingers waggling |
We've turned, each one, to his own way. |
Dance through a complete circle on the spot |
And the LORD has laid on him |
arms outstretched in front, hands high, palms down, and then bow down (as if laying something on someone) |
the iniquity of us all. |
Both arms outstretched like a cross - one on 'iniquity', the other on 'of us', then head bowed on 'all' |
| |
1. Iniquity? What's that? |
Shrug, hands palms up kind-of action |
It's when we don't go God's way. |
wag both first fingers in front of you several times |
The things we do |
march on spot |
the things we say, |
hands to either side of mouth |
Sometimes the Bible calls it SIN |
make a bible with your hands, and then on 'SIN' stand back in amazement with hands palms forward out to either side of head |
but here it says "Iniquity!" |
shake hands and bring them down to both sides in a circle |
| |
2. Laid on him? Who's that? |
Shrug, hands palms up kind-of action |
It turns out that it's Jesus. |
dance a bit, then point to sky on 'Jesus' |
The Servant who came to save us. |
both hands together up to top right, palms outwards, and sweep down to bottom left |
As Jesus died up on the cross |
reverse the previous action to sweep up to top right again |
That's where God "laid it all on him!" |
now hands to top front, and bow down with hands going from ceiling to floor |
| |
NB: the backing track is at a slower tempo to the full track - it's easier to sing! | |
