Isaiah 53v6
Fifty-Three verse Six,
A verse we need to hear,
Fifty-Three verse Six,
Isaiah makes it clear:
We all, like sheep, have gone astray.
We've turned, each one, to his own way.
And the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
1. Iniquity? What's that?
It's when we don't go God's way.
The things we do
the things we say,
Sometimes the Bible calls it SIN
but here it says "Iniquity!"
2. Laid on him? Who's that?
It turns out that it's Jesus.
The Servant who came to save us.
As Jesus died up on the cross
That's where God "laid it all on him!"
NB: the backing track is at a slower tempo to the full track - it's easier to sing!
