OK - these are songs I've written
that aren't really for kids!

They're still about Jesus and how great he is, and they're still based on the Bible, his living Word to us today -
and I hope they glorify Jesus.
I wrote them just for me really, and they're not intended for congregational singing!
But I've sung them to a couple of people and they've appreciated them,
so here they are for you to have a listen to.
We just don't get it
Luke 24 - the Resurrection...
NB: This is quite a rocky number - please don't let it put you off the children's songs!
I was sitting thinking about the resurrection appearances in Luke's Gospel,
and it just occurred to me that the constant message was:
"don't be so daft, you were told all about this!"
Anyway, if you can cope with loud music, have a listen!
"We just don't get it,"
said the women at the tomb,
"Where's his body gone
and how did they move the stone?"
"Why are you looking for the
living with the dead"
said the shiny-shiny man,
"it's happened just as he said:
'He must be crucified,
and then he'll rise'
- he told you all about it,
why are you so surprised?"
"We just don't get it,"
said the couple walking on,
"this great man Jesus died,
and now his body's gone?!"
"Why are you thinking in such a foolish way?"
said the stranger walking with them,
"it's just what all the prophets said:
'He must be crucified,
and then he'll rise!'
It's written in the Scriptures,
why are you so surprised?"
"We just don't get it,"
the disciples said all round,
"how come you're standing with us,
alive and safe and sound?"
"Why are you doubting
in your poor little heads?"
said the risen Lord Jesus,
"it's exactly what I said:
'I must be crucified,
and then I'll rise!'
I told you all about it,
why are you so surprised?"
