What's going on with Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes, from day to day...
We sang "My Little Seed" at the KS1 assembly (years 1-2, ages 5-7) this morning.
It's based on the teaching in Colossians 1:15-16, that Jesus is closely involved in keeping the world going, by his creating power. I wrote it specially for the younger age range, and it's got some nice actions / motions to go with it.
The kids loved it this morning, so I'm going to try to get it recorded & published in the next few days... watch this space!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, also known as Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, were three great boys who had to leave their homes with Daniel when the Babylonians came to town (Daniel 1:6-7).
They're inspiritional guys because, not only did they brave boring food to honour God (Daniel 1), but they refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar's statue - and lived to tell the tale! (Daniel 3). You can almost imagine them singing "Our God is the Real God - we'll only worship him!". Well, I can anyway - hence a special verse about them in my song "Daniel" - click here!

BBC Radio 4's "You and Yours" programme have just had an item all about children and teenagers using computers. It's prompted me to get "AppTimer.net" available online...
AppTimer.net is a little computer program I've been using with my kids for a few years now.
It helps you to manage how much time they spend on the computer. You give them, say, an hour a day of time on Internet Explorer, and once they start using Internet Explorer AppTimer.net starts counting down the hour. They get a warning when the time's nearly up, and then at the hour Internet Explorer is shut down, and can't start again til the next day.
They'll hate you for a day or two when you install this, so make sure you have a decent conversation with them about why you're doing it. One day, they'll be glad you did it, and they'll thank you. You'll be glad every day, when you actually get a chance to talk to them.
It's still in BETA form (the network communication part of it works but not perfectly), and it's FREE, and you can get it here: http://www.maynardsgroovytunes.co.uk/store/apptimer-net-kids-computer-timer-beta.html
There are more pictures on the website: apptimer.net
Hope it helps - just email via the contact form for support.
Loving this one, don't know when I'll get a chance to record it, but here are the words:
Come on let us sing for joy and shout out to the Lord
He's the Rock of our Salvation: shout out to the Lord
Come before Him with thanksgiving: shout out to the Lord
Make some music, sing a song and shout out to the Lord!
For the Lord is the great great God
and He's the creator of the ends of the earth,
if you dig down deep or you climb up high:
He made it all!
So if you hear His voice today,
don't run away, no don't run away,
just trust in Him and worship Him:
Shout to the Lord, shout out to the Lord today!

The tune? Inspired by the Vaccines and Spector... (guess who's got teenage kids now?)
When will I record it? Dunno - probably after Easter, sorry!
