What's going on with Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes, from day to day...
We sang "My Little Seed" at the KS1 assembly (years 1-2, ages 5-7) this morning.
It's based on the teaching in Colossians 1:15-16, that Jesus is closely involved in keeping the world going, by his creating power. I wrote it specially for the younger age range, and it's got some nice actions / motions to go with it.
The kids loved it this morning, so I'm going to try to get it recorded & published in the next few days... watch this space!Continued - Read More »»
It's uploading to the website and store as I speak, a new (& much improved) recording of "Jesus you didn't make my Sandwiches".
I've always loved this song, but the original recording was pretty grim - I was out of tune by the fourth note, and it didn't get much better. So I've re-done it. Still not perfect, but it is definitely an improvement!
What do you think? Have a listen: "Jesus you didn't..." on the Jukebox
Or buy it: "Jesus you didn't..." in the store
I'm working hard towards a new CD - 14 songs that haven't been on a 'major' CD before (one or two have appeared on the Easter / Christmas compilation CDs) - and every song is either a new recording or a re-mix with better software (& techniques).
As part of this process, "It was dark" (based on Genesis 1, the first creation account) has been remixed. It was one of my better recordings anyway, but I think I've improved it! You can listen on the jukebox - and the new version is in the store.
The new store version is a 320kbps version (or 384kbps if you get the .wma file). What does that mean? It means there's more data per second, so a better sound. I'm working towards all the store downloads being at this rate.
Get some CDs so that you can sing along wherever you are,
and enjoy praising Jesus and remembering how great he is in that familiar foot-stomping way!
